GRID Developments creates thoughtfully designed urban homes in Toronto’s most livable, vibrant neighbourhoods. Our interdisciplinary team is focused on great architecture and quality craftsmanship, bringing lasting value to homeowners and their surrounding communities.
GRID is a fusion of two companies with vast local expertise: Aykler and Co., a developer and builder with three generations of history, and Urban Fabric Developments, founded by George Popper, an architect with 35 years in practice and nearly 1,000 completed projects. These decades of experience have been united into a tightly knit team of designers, brokers and builders. With expertise in architecture, planning, construction, marketing, sales and financing, our integrated approach to development ensures no detail is overlooked. We take great pride in creating distinctive urban homes.
Justin Aykler, MBA

George Popper, OAA
An architect since 1975, and the president and founder of Urban Fabric Development, George Popper has the vision and experience to manage a residential development at every stage, from site analysis and planning approvals through to design and construction.
Four decades of experience in the Toronto real estate market — including development and construction in both the non-profit and private sectors, property management, and sales — inform the seasoned view that Les Aykler brings in the oversight of GRID's acquisition, construction and development.
Peter McNeil, OAA
Specializing in progressive residential design, as well as emerging building systems, architect Peter McNeil joined GRID in 2015 after seven years at a boutique architectural practice, to spearhead site development, optimize building design and interiors, and steer project approvals.
As Aykler & Co's founder, Bill Aykler brings a wealth of experience building, managing and selling Toronto real estate. Since 1953, he has spearheaded several key development projects, from high-rise apartment buildings to single family homes, and helped non-profit organizations develop and build more than 2,000 units.
With a diverse background in sales and communications, Brooke Padanyi coordinates GRID projects through their various phases, and liaises with purchasers, in addition to organizing new project sales and leading GRID's online marketing efforts.
